Achieving Balance
The magic word, balance.
Achieving balance is not always spending equal time or energy in each segment of our life. It is really having a sense of importance and allowing ourselves to not feel guilt when spending time or energy in those segments. Balance is about living life without guilt and really allowing ourselves to focus on the segments of our life that we are experiencing at that time.
Understanding all of the facets of your life and what you want to commit can be challenging, however, making a conscious effort to achieve balance can be liberating and healthy for all interested parties.
Hitting the gym or going for a run can reduce stress, which ultimately will give you a clear mind to make better decisions at the office. Having family/friend time will make coming home to that significant other much more enjoyable when you have spent a 12 hour day in the office. Get clear on who you are and what it is that will help you achieve balance.
